5 Must-Try Fall Apple Recipes

September 5, 2016

If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that one of the absolute best things about fall is the food and the flavors – there’s pumpkin spice coffee, pumpkin spice muffins, apple crisp, cinnamon apple cake (you get the idea). Since you know we love fruit, today we’re going to focus on the latter of the two flavors mentioned above and share some of our favorite apple recipes to use during this time of year; check them out below.

Brandy Apple Punch

Nothing compliments a delicious fall treat better than a glass of this brandy apple punch! This recipe is ideal for large groups, so it’s perfect to keep handy after you go apple picking with family and friends, or perhaps for a Halloween party later in the season. In addition to the granny smith apple you’ll need, other ingredients include cranberries, water, dark brown sugar, apple cider, brandy, lemon juice and maple syrup.

Pumpkin Apple Shandy

This recipe is for those of you who are looking for the best of both worlds – apple and pumpkin. Instead of lemonade, this pumpkin apple shandy recipe calls for apple cider – the other ingredients needed are orange juice, pumpkin beer and sliced apples and/or oranges. Once you’re done mixing, pour your cocktail into a glass, add some ice and enjoy!

Apple Crisp

Fall wouldn’t be complete without enjoying some apple crisp (and don’t forget the vanilla ice cream for the top!). You can add some additional fruits such as blueberries if you’d like, but we think we’ll stick with apples for that true fall flavor. Before you get started, you’ll want to gather the following: mcintosh or gala apples, white sugar, flour, brown sugar, salt, and butter.

Apple Pie Waffles

If you love apple pie and you love waffles, this one is an absolute must! And of course, make sure you have some cinnamon to top things off. You can use this recipe for dessert or breakfast, just make sure you have some friends or family near by to enjoy it with you, as this is one fall treat you’ll definitely want to share!

Baked Apples

This baked apple recipe is super easy to follow, and the finished product only takes about 45 minutes to cook! It’s best when used with granny smith or yellow delicious apples, and it also requires cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, butter or margarine, and apple cider. If you’re seeking a fall treat that’s not too heavy, this can be your go-to!

Okay, we’re officially ready to eat and have a drink! When you’re looking for something with a fall flavor to enjoy this season, we hope you’ll try one of the above. And if you do, be sure to come back and let us know how things turned out!
